Pay Grade 32 ($22.18 – $26.98)

Job Description:

Under direction of the Chief Financial Officer, processes a high volume of incoming paperwork and/or customer requests; calculates and collects payments; maintains automated file system; and accurately enters data into a specialized computer software application program.

Examples of Duties to Be Performed: (Note: The omission of specific statements does not preclude management from assigning specific duties not listed herein if such duties are a logical assignment to the position.)

  • Assists customers in person, by telephone and by mail correspondence in reference to Civil Traffic cases.
  • Answers public inquires on the amount of any fines due for all court types.
  • Performs data entry for all Civil Traffic, County Ordinances and Non-Criminal Infractions.
  • Receives, validates, and posts payments for all court types and departments of the Board of County Commissioners.
  • Maintains a daily cash drawer.
  • Balances total amounts of cash and checks received against receipts at the end of the day. Provides End of Day report, cash, and checks to designated clerk for processing.
  • Maintains automated file system.
  • Accurately enters data into a specialized computer software application program.
  • Aids staff and public as required.
  • Abides by all internal policies and work procedures.
  • General supervision by the Manager as assigned by Chief Financial Officer.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Working skill in operating a computer. Working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Edge.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Working skill in verbal and/or written communication.
  • Ability to apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and three years of experience in general office work which includes maintaining files and providing customer service; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Walking, standing, or sitting for an extended period.

  • Corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
